Thursday is Tree Day!

I am officially declaring Thursday--Tree Day!  I plan to highlight my new trees each Thursday for your viewing pleasure.  I am having such a great time making the little trees.  The children just laugh each time I bring them a new one to look at.  I now have a growing forest with no plans to stop.  I am also trying different photo techniques.  I think the pictures in the middle turned out better than the others.  The difference is a brighter light and of course the colored background.  I was surprised how the colored background brought out the colors in the stones.  The trees are only about an inch and a half to two inches tall, so they are super easy to photograph.

So let's take a look at a few trees you haven't seen yet.  I put together mini collages for each in PicMonkey, so fast and easy.

Isabel loves purple, so I had her in mind when I made this one.  The tree is made of purple Cats Eye chips and gold colored copper wire.

I had never seen this stone before, it is called Picture Jasper.  I think it looks so unique and interesting.  So this one is made of Picture Jasper chips and silver colored copper wire.

This tree is made with Cats Eye stone chips and silver colored copper wire.  I have always liked Cats Eye stones.  To be able to use them in this way is somehow so perfect.

This tree is made of purple colored copper wire and light purple colored glass chips.  Something about the glass chips just draws me in.  I like the way the color seems infused in the glass.

So, there you have it.  The latest batch of trees.  Thanks for taking a look.  Any color suggestions or feedback?  I have Mother of Pearl chips that I haven't used yet, I am going to try them next.  I'll show you how they turned out, along with any others, next week on Tree Day.

I feel like I have to give a shout out to JoAnn's for their amazing sales.  They also send out loyalty coupons to regular customers, I received a 20% off coupon including sale items.   I believe they are trying to compete with Michael's and Hobby Lobby because my local store has been redesigned to include a larger jewelry making section with regular 40% to 50% off sales.  Keep your eye out for the deals and you can get supplies at JoAnns for a fraction of the cost.

I did not receive any compensation for my opinion, but I am open to offers;).

Have a great Thursday.

  1. You are amazing, do you know that? Plus your blog is getting funner and funner. (Yes, I know funner is not technically a word.)

    1. Technically Schmecnically. I would rather be funner than just about anything else.

  2. OK Tanya after looking at the trees when I come to visit I will need to bring back 2 for some friends. We have a saying in our friend group, "You Fly You Buy". So i will need to purchase 1 purple and 1 of the pink ones from the Esty Shop. Be sure and save them for me. See you in 23 Days. Love from Texas, Syl
